FAQ
How do you photograph weddings?
My style is calm, friendly and supportive. I will be on hand to assist with whatever you need in the run up to the big day. Need help finding a florist/hair stylist/make up artist? I have a bunch I can recommend!
On the day, I will be your personal cheer leader and friend. I am a master chameleon and very good at picking up on vibes so will be able to scope out the photo opportunities at every stage of the day! I also think it's important to carve out a moment for the two of you to just relax and take everything in. So we will find a time to go away as a 3 and get some photos together while you soak in the atmosphere.
When will we get our photos?
1-2 weeks for engagements and personal sessions, but for weddings, the turnaround time can be up to 8 weeks. Turnaround time depends on several factors including season, number of final images and how quickly final payment can be made.
How does payment work?
For all sessions, including weddings, I take a 20% deposit to secure the date and then the rest of the payment is taken up to 30 days after the session. However, no final images are released until the full payment is made. You are able to upgrade your package or include any additional extras at any point.
Do you provide a contract for booking a session?
Yes. Every session requires a legally binding contract for insurance purposes.
Do you HAVE to post our photos to your website and social media?
My Instagram account and website are my portfolios. They are the best ways for me to meet new clients and my images are my calling card. Sharing your images helps me to showcase my work. However, I respect you may wish to keep your images private. If you wish to have exclusive use of your photos, then a 30% exclusivity charge will be added to your package.
Where are you based and do you travel?
I’m based in Cheltenham, Gloucestershire and I service all of The Cotswolds and beyond! I am an avid traveller so wouldn’t hesitate to capture your wedding day, wherever it is in the world. Travel expenses will vary.
Can you help with planning?
Absolutely! I’m happy to be as involved in your wedding as you need. I have a list of prefered vendors that I would be delighted to share with you and great knowledge of beautiful locations around The Cotswolds for photos. I’m also happy to discuss the order of the day and any little traditions you may want to include (or even start!).
What happens if we have to cancel or reschedule?
Once the 20% deposit is made, it is non-refundable. If the session needs to be cancelled, you will therefore not receive your deposit back. However, if the session can be rescheduled to a date that I have available, you won’t need to pay a new deposit. The only instance you would have to pay a new deposit is if you want to book a completely new session.
Do you give out original photos (RAW files)?
No, I don’t. The photo session is only half of the work! The way I colour and edit my photos is what makes my photos unique to me so I wouldn’t be comfortable sending off my photos without my own personal editing. There are obviously exceptions to this rule, but there would have to be a really good reason!
